아시안 스파이스 하우스는 서울을 기반으로 활동하며, 아시아 각국의 음악적 요소를 탐구하고 전자음악을 비롯한 다양한 장르를 넘나들며 독창적인 사운드를 만들어내는 밴드이다. 2023년 정규 1집 《나불행행》을 발표하며 한국 전통 민요인 각설이타령을 현대적으로 재해석해 풍자와 유머, 그리고 싸이키델릭·록·일렉트로닉 사운드를 결합한 신선한 작품 세계를 선보였다. 그들의 음악은 단순한 장르 혼합을 넘어, 대중적이면서도 몰입감을 주는 멜로디와 사운드로 삶의 다양한 풍경을 탐구하고, 한국과 아시아의 문화적 정체성을 새로운 감각으로 확장시킨다.
2025년에는 일본 최고의 민속음악 축제인 Soul Beat Asia에 초청되어 무대에 올랐으며 광주 세계버스킹대회 브론즈마스크상수상과 서울문화재단 신인 예술가 지원 사업 선정 등으로도 가능성을 인정받은 아시안 스파이스 하우스는 아시아 루츠·퓨전 씬에서 새로운 흐름을 제시할 아티스트로 주목받고 있다.


Asian Spice House is a Seoul-based band that explores and reinterprets diverse Asian musical elements, creating a distinctive sound that blends electronic foundations with psychedelic, rock, reggae, and traditional Korean influences. Their debut album Nabulhaenghaeng (Dukkha) (2023) reimagined the satirical and socially critical spirit of Korean folk traditions through a modern lens, weaving in playful irony with layered psychedelic and alternative sounds. With music that is both accessible and immersive, the band seeks to capture the richness of cultural identity and the complexities of everyday life.
In 2025, they were invited to perform at Soul Beat Asia, Japan’s leading folk music festival, marking an important milestone in their international journey. Building on this momentum, they are planning a Tokyo tour and additional festival appearances in Japan next year—some of which remain confidential due to contractual agreements. Having also been recognized as a finalist at the Gwangju World Busking Competition and selected as a grantee by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, Asian Spice House is rapidly emerging as a key player in Asia’s roots and fusion music scene.
